Scope

This standard specifies the basic method for low-speed wind tunnel test of aircraft control surface hinge moment. This standard is applicable to tests using strain balances to measure hinge moments of aircraft control surfaces in low-speed wind tunnels. The low-speed wind tunnel test of the hinge moment of the control surfaces of torpedoes, mines and other underwater weapons, and the low-speed wind tunnel test of the hinge moment of movable parts such as hatches and landing gear can also be used for reference.
