Scope

This standard specifies the basic method for high-speed wind tunnel test of aircraft control surface hinge moment. This standard is applicable to tests using strain balances to measure hinge moments of aircraft control surfaces in high-speed wind tunnels. High-speed wind tunnel tests on hinge moments of movable surfaces such as drag panels and hatches can also be used as a reference.
