This standard specifies the basic parameter series for the performance characteristics of digital instruments. This standard applies to analog-to-digital converters or digital instruments for measuring the following basic quantities of electricity: a. DC and AC current; b. DC and AC voltage; c. DC and AC power; d. Power factor or phase; e. Frequency; f .resistance, impedance or components thereof. This standard is also applicable to multi-purpose meters for measuring the above-mentioned basic electric quantities; Among the multi-function instruments, this standard is only applicable to the part that performs the function of measuring the above-mentioned basic electric quantities; This standard is also applicable to non-electricity measuring instruments that use the above-mentioned basic electric quantities as analog quantities . This standard does not specify a series of parameters for the performance characteristics of accessories for digital instruments (for example, shunts, high-voltage probes, filters, etc.). This standard does not apply to electric energy measuring instruments based on converting electric energy into digital quantities; this standard does not apply to power transmitters that output digital quantities.
