Scope
This standard applies to tools powered by electric motors or electromagnets for indoor and outdoor use having all of the following characteristics. a. It can be easily moved by a single person, but in order to facilitate the movement, simple devices such as handles and wheels can be installed; b. Regardless of whether it is fixed by fast clamping devices, bolts, etc., it is always in a safe and stable state c. Used under the control of an operator; d. Not considered for continuous production or production line; e. Connected to the power supply with a flexible wire and plug; f. The maximum single-phase AC or DC rated voltage does not exceed 250V , The maximum rated voltage of three-phase AC does not exceed 440V; g. The maximum rated input power, single-phase does not exceed 2500W; three-phase does not exceed 4000W. Note: ①Circular saw, band saw, flat planer, thickness planer, radial arm saw, wood milling, wire saw, curve saw, miter saw, woodworking lathe, belt sander, disc sander, rough and fine planer , continuous tenoning machine, multifunctional machine, carding machine, metalworking lathe, desktop grinder, bench drill, threading machine, pipe bending machine, pipe saw, slotting machine, sharpening machine, sheet metal shears, concrete drill, Concrete saws, wood breakers, pipe cleaners are examples of what are commonly referred to as portable power tools (hereafter simply tools). ② It is allowed to add special driving equipment for cooling pumps and vacuum cleaners. ③ When the tool is used in an environment that often has special circumstances, such as in a place with explosive air or dust and fire hazards, special precautions should be taken or tools with special structures should be used. ④ Obvious multifunctional tools with various operating modes should meet the requirements of each specific operating mode. ⑤This standard does not apply to: --Household and similar electrical appliances specified in the applicable scope of GB4706.1; --Hand-held electric tools specified in the applicable scope of GB3883.1; --Industrial machinery and electrical equipment specified in the applicable scope of IEC204; -- Small low-voltage powered desktop tools for making models of radio-controlled airplanes, cars, etc.; --Food preparation machinery. This standard is concerned with safety aspects, taking into account the safety implications of the components of the installation required to suppress radio and television interference to the extent required.
