Scope

This standard specifies the characteristics that should be described for inertial sensors (hereinafter referred to as sensors) for electromechanical vibration and shock measurement. This standard applies to inertial sensors for electromechanical vibration and shock measurements. The electrical output of these sensors is a known function of the acceleration, velocity or displacement of the object being measured.
