Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the apparent density of powdered detergents by measuring the mass of a given volume of powder. This standard applies to powdered or granular materials that are free-flowing or, when a suitable hopper is used, powdered or granular materials that have a tendency to agglomerate. For powders with agglomerates, this standard is only applicable if the agglomerates are easy to loosen without breaking the particles of the powder.
