- This standard specifies the equipment, samples, test process and evaluation of oxidation resistance of steel and alloys in gaseous medium at high temperature by the weight loss method or weight gain method. This standard applies to the determination of the oxidation resistance of steel and alloys in gaseous media at high temperatures. The determination of corrosion resistance in other corrosive gas media at high temperature can also be used as a reference.
