In former times the removal of waste was a frequently chosen option in many cases. Nowadays the legislative has fundamentally changed. Recycling becomes more and more important, considering e.g. the German Waste Management Law (KrWG). The standard is intended for those in businesses who are responsible for the disposal of waste or who are in charge of planning and developing waste management processes. The standard has been drafted for businesses to assist the handling of industrial waste. Based on the legal framework, the standard gives guidance on disposal operations dealing with various types of industrial waste. The standard cannot cover all regional specifics in detail, but gives an overview on how to handle industrial waste in a right way.
