- This standard specifies the general requirements for environmental testing of digital communication equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment), the test sequence, the severity level of individual tests and the commonly used methods for individual environmental tests. This standard applies to environmental tests for digital communications and data communications. This standard does not apply to environmental tests for digital and data communication equipment used in aerospace.
