- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of dry powder fire extinguishing agents. This standard applies to dry powder fire extinguishing agents for extinguishing Class A, Class B and Class C fires. This standard does not apply to dry powder fire extinguishing agents for Class D (metal) fires.
