Scope: This standard specifies the principle of determination of gadolinium, samarium, dysprosium and europium in uranium dioxide powder and pellets, the instruments and reagents used, analysis steps, calculation of analysis results and the precision of the method. This standard applies to the analysis of gadolinium, samarium, dysprosium and europium in uranium dioxide powder and pellets. The determination lower limit of the method: when sampling 0.3g, gadolinium and samarium are 0.02μg/g; dysprosium and europium are 0.004μg/g. When sampling 1g, gadolinium and samarium are 0.006μg/g; dysprosium and europium are 0.0012μg/g. The determination of gadolinium, samarium, dysprosium and europium in uranium compounds such as triuranium octaoxide and uranium hexafluoride can also be referred to. When there is no horizontal ICP device, vertical ICP can also be used, but the lower limit of determination is 10 times higher than that of horizontal ICP.
