- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of fixed acid-proof lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries). This standard applies to switch control, signal systems, telecommunication equipment, computers, emergency lighting and batteries for various DC power supplies. This standard does not apply to batteries used for other purposes and different structures, such as small sealed batteries for computer uninterruptible power supplies.
