Scope

This standard specifies the receiving and transmitting signal characteristics of the Inmarsat A ship earth station, technical requirements for antennas, receiving and transmitting systems, and connection and control methods. This standard applies to the design and manufacture of Inmarsat A ship earth stations whose G/T value is equal to or greater than -4dBK, and the application for type approval and commissioning before equipment production.
