- Scope
- This standard specifies two test methods for determining the seam strength of woven fabrics and products, namely method A grab sample method and method B strip sample method. This standard is applicable to the determination of the seam strength and seam efficiency of woven fabrics and products, and also applicable to the determination and comparison of the sewing performance of various types of straight seams and various sewing conditions. Method A is suitable for testing woven fabrics and products, and method B is suitable for testing woven fabrics. This standard does not apply to woven elastic fabrics. Note: Referee test adopts method A.
