- This standard specifies the basic principles, test conditions, test equipment, sample preparation, test procedures and evaluation of test results, etc. for the determination of reduction expansion of iron ore pellets (hereinafter referred to as pellets). The characteristic of the specified method is: the pellets are in a free state, and the mixed gas of CO and N2 is used for isothermal reduction, and the sample has a certain particle size range. This standard is applicable to the determination of pellet expansion performance expressed by relative free reduction expansion index (reduction expansion index for short).
