Scope

This standard applies to data transmission equipment with a rate of 48kbit/s in the 60-108kHz primary circuit. This standard is equivalent to the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (CICTT) recommendation V.35 "Modem for 48kbit/s data transmission of 60-108kHz primary circuit" (1984 Red Book).
