- This standard specifies all operations and conditions related to the transport of radioactive materials, including the design, manufacture and maintenance of packaging, as well as the preparation, consignment, loading and unloading, transportation and intermediate storage of the package, the acceptance of the package at the final destination, and Normal and accidental conditions encountered during transport and storage. This standard applies to any mode of transport of radioactive materials by land, water or air.
