- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for measuring the color coordinates of coating films. This method is only applicable to the determination of the color of reflected light, that is, a coating film that can show a uniform color (ie, monochrome) with normal visual inspection. The coating film that cannot completely cover the opaque substrate (belonging to the opaque system coating film) can also be measured according to the method specified in this standard. However, it does not apply to luminous coatings, transparent and translucent coatings (for example: coatings used on display or lamp glass), reflective coatings (such as coatings for traffic markings) and metallic luster coatings.
