- This part of GB 32166 specifies the classification, basic requirements and special requirements of occupational eye and face protective equipment. This section applies to flat protective equipment or components used to protect the eyes or face in occupational eye and face protection (mainly industrial protection). This section does not apply to: a) general purpose sunglasses and sunglass lenses or eye and face protectors with vision correcting effects; b) eye and face protectors used by patients to protect themselves from exposure during diagnosis or treatment; c) direct observation of the sun d) Sports eye and face protection; e) Short-circuit arc eye and face protection; f) Welding eye and face protection; g) Laser eye and face protection.
