EN ISO 14577-2:2015 PDF

Scope: This part of ISO 14577 specifies the procedure for checking and calibrating testing machines for performing instrumented penetrant testing in accordance with ISO 14577-1:2015. A direct verification method for checking the main functions of the testing machine and an indirect verification method suitable for determining the repeatability of the testing machine are described. It is a requirement that the indirect method be used in addition to the direct method and for regular routine checks of the testing machine in operation. It is a requirement that the indirect inspection procedure of the testing machine should be carried out separately for each procedure. This part of ISO 14577 is also applicable to portable testing machines.
