Scope: This standard specifies the structural type, technical requirements, inspection and test methods, inspection rules, marking, protection, packaging, storage and transportation of ball valves for liquefied natural gas. This standard is applicable to flange and welded connection ball valves (hereinafter referred to as ball valves) with nominal pressures PN16~PN250, nominal sizes DN15~DN700, pressure classes Class150~Class1500, nominal sizes NPS1/2~NPS28, and the working medium is liquefied natural gas. Other low-temperature ball valves with temperatures higher than -162°C can also be used as a reference.
