Scope

This standard specifies the measurement and evaluation methods for determining the roundness and waviness errors of rolling bearing parts at specified positions by using the contact roundness measuring instrument with the change in radius. This standard applies to the measurement and evaluation of roundness and waviness errors of various types of rolling bearing parts with a nominal outer diameter of 3 mm to 1 000 mm.
