Scope: This standard specifies the test method for the content of heavy metals in footwear and footwear components—the use of microwave plasma atomic emission spectrometer (MP-AES) to test the nine heavy metals arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), Determination method of chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) and antimony (Sb) content. This standard applies to all footwear and footwear components. Materials containing each limited substance are given in GB/T29292.
