- This standard specifies the unit symbols of stratigraphic age, rocks and minerals on 1:50000 regional geological maps (including detailed maps, plan maps, geological column maps, geological cross-section maps, mineral maps, mineralization rules and prediction maps, etc.). 1. General rules for the representation methods of deposits and ore point symbols of various minerals. This standard is applicable to 1:50000 regional geological survey, field mapping and indoor mapping. Symbols and patterns on geological maps of other scales can also be used as a reference. This standard does not include the special requirements for 1:50000 regional geological survey work in urban areas and the lithostratum symbols on the maps drawn in lithostratigraphic units.
