Scope
This standard is used to guide the performance test of the photometric detector, which is a detection component working at one or more fixed wavelengths in the wavelength range of 210 nm to 800 nm in the liquid chromatography system. Usually the test wavelength is 254 nm, other wavelengths are also available. This standard aims to describe the performance of the detector, including the static performance independent of the chromatographic system and the dynamic performance under the condition of mobile phase. For general descriptions of liquid chromatography procedures, see references [1] to [9]. For the principle, structure, use and evaluation of liquid chromatography detectors, see references [10], [11], and [1]-[7] related to the detector. This standard does not involve safety issues related to actual use. It is the user's responsibility to determine the limitations of the application of this standard before use and to establish appropriate safety and health practices.
