Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of chemical oxygen demand (COD) measuring instruments. This standard is applicable to measuring instruments for measuring chemical oxygen demand (COD) in water bodies such as domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and surface water. The detection principle or method generally adopts potassium dichromate oxidation-redox titration Oxidation-spectrophotometry and potassium dichromate oxidation-coulometric titration. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as "instruments") with other principles or detection methods can refer to this standard.
