- This part of SN/T 3896 specifies the method for rapid determination of fiber content of polyester fiber and polyurethane elastic fiber mixtures by near-infrared spectroscopy, and provides requirements for instruments and equipment for the determination of polyester fiber and polyurethane elastic fiber mixtures by near-infrared spectroscopy. Sample and environmental requirements, determination procedures, result processing, suspected sample confirmation and processing, and test reporting requirements. This section is applicable to the rapid determination of fiber content of polyester fiber and polyurethane elastic fiber mixed fabrics other than coated fabrics and fleece fabrics. The polyester fiber content of the sample ranges from 73.0% to 100.0%.
