Scope

This standard specifies the product classification and codes, specifications and dimensions, product markings, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of silicon carbon tubes. This standard applies to silicon carbon tube electric heating elements with a surface temperature not higher than 1500°C made from silicon carbide.
