Scope

This standard specifies the general method for reducing As(V) and As(Ⅲ) to arsine, absorbing it with absorbing solution and using silver diethyldithiocarbamate (AgDDTC) for colorimetric determination. This standard applies to the determination of trace arsenic in chemical reagents. The detection range of spectrophotometry or visual colorimetry is 0.1-4 μg/mL (calculated as As) in the absorbing liquid.
