Scope

This standard specifies the quality indicators and test methods of compressed air for respiratory protection. This standard applies to self-contained open-circuit compressed air respirators and long-line compressed air respirators for occupational protection and escape. This standard does not apply to compressed air for medical use, compressed air for diving breathing equipment and aviation breathing equipment.
