- This standard specifies the general requirements for eddy current method thickness measurement of thermal barrier coating thickness of aeroengine blades, measurement accuracy control, selection and production requirements for coated standard specimens, measurement procedures, etc. This standard applies to thermal barrier coatings prepared using the electron beam physical vapor deposition (EB-PVD) process. The thermal barrier coating prepared by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) process can be used as a reference.
