- This standard specifies the general requirements, inspection procedures, parts inspection, evaluation, inspection records and reports for ultrasonic C-scan inspection (pulse reflection method, water jet penetration method) of fiber-reinforced resin-based composite structural parts. This standard is applicable to the ultrasonic C-scan detection of internal defects in composite laminates, board/board bonded parts, honeycomb core bonded structural parts and foam core bonded structural parts. For the testing of other matrix composite parts or woven fiber reinforced composite parts, please refer to this standard.
