Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of silver metal oxide electrical contacts (hereinafter referred to as electrical contacts) using powder metallurgy methods such as silver cadmium oxide, silver zinc oxide, and silver copper oxide. This standard applies to silver metal oxide electrical contact components produced by basic powder metallurgy processes for low-voltage switchgear.
