- This standard specifies the method for the determination of lead and cadmium content in nickel plating on the surface of metal parts of electronic and electrical products by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of lead and cadmium in nickel-plated layers on the surface of metal parts of electronic and electrical products. Nickel-plated layers of other substrate metals can also be used with reference.
