- Scope
- This International Standard specifies the general rules for the distance and sensitivity adjustment (ie the gain adjustment) of manually operated ultrasonic detectors with A-scan display in order to be able to reproducibly measure the position and echo amplitude of a reflector. It refers to techniques using only one probe in direct contact, which can be either a single-wave probe or a SE probe; The diving technique and techniques with multiple test heads are excluded here.
