This International Standard specifies a test method for determining the veil (or more precisely "gloss veil") of coatings. The method is applicable for haze measurements of coatings without texture on flat, opaque substrates. The use of the 20° geometry means that the procedure is closely related to the measurement of the gloss value at 20° according to ISO 2813. The use of this process is intended to improve the differentiation of high-gloss surfaces, e.g. B. in the evaluation of dispersing properties.
