EN ISO 3233-2:2014 PDF

Scope: This part of ISO 3233 specifies a method for determining the volume of non-volatile fractions (VnfA) of coating materials by determining the practical dry film density. In this method, the volume of non-volatile components of coating materials and similar products is determined by measuring the density of the dry coating at a specified temperature and for a specified drying/curing time. The practical yield of coating materials can be calculated from the VnfA results obtained according to this part of ISO 3233. This procedure specifies a further form of sample plate compared to ISO 3233-1 and is applicable to all products that can be applied by dipping. This part of ISO 3233 is not applicable to coating materials that exceed the critical pigment volume concentration (CPVK).
