Scope

This standard specifies the classification, identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of network video and audio encoding and decoding equipment used in security video surveillance systems. This standard applies to the design, production, and inspection of equipment with network video and audio encoding and decoding functions in security video surveillance systems. Network video and audio codec equipment in other related systems can be used as a reference.
