Scope
The standard specifies manufacturing techniques of calibration gases and calibration solutions for the determination of gaseous organic compounds in ambient air and indoor air using gas chromatography proven in practice and in interlaboratory comparison tests. In addition to the description of the manufacturing techniques, the standard uses execution examples to describe the practical application. The calibration is integrated into the analytical procedure as a measure of quantification and quality assurance.
