KS M ISO 2285:2014 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic — Determination of tension set under constant elongation, and of tension set, elongation and creep under constant tensile load
This standard specifies several methods for measuring the dimensional change of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber test specimens during and after application of tension for relatively short periods of time under constant elongation or constant load. The test at constant elongation is performed when the rubber is subjected to the standard laboratory temperature or specifications. It is intended to measure the ability of rubber to maintain its elasticity (properties) after being stretched at a standard laboratory temperature to a specified strain, held at a specified temperature or higher for a specified time, and then relaxed at that test temperature or standard laboratory temperature. The constant load test specifies a method for measuring the elongation, creep and permanent elongation of rubber subjected to constant load at standard laboratory temperatures. This test method measures the elasticity of rubber within the range of hardness 20 IRHD to 94 IRHD. Creep measurements are not recommended for product design or evaluation of materials with low creep. Relevant information for this purpose is in KS M ISO 8013.
