This standard specifies a test method for simulating a side impact between the front of a passenger car or light truck derived from a passenger car (as defined in KS R ISO 3833) and an adult pedestrian. The test method covers injuries to the pedestrian's thighs, legs and knees. Focus on reducing. This standard is not applicable to testing for or evaluation of injuries to other parts of the pedestrian's body. It also cannot be directly applied to the potential risk of injury to soft tissues in children or humans. This test method is not applicable to vehicles equipped with devices designed to operate and deploy in the event of a collision with a pedestrian.
