1.1 This standard specifies the analysis method for dichromium trioxide in leather treated in whole or in part with chromium compounds. In general, this method is applied to samples containing 1% to 5% chromium, calculated as chromium oxide. 1.2 The values specified in SI units are to be considered standard. 1.3 This standard shall be used for all purposes relevant to the intended use. It does not mention safety-related matters. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to apply safety and health considerations and to apply and determine mandatory limits.
