Scope
1.1 This standard specifies two methods for measuring the volatile matter content of raw rubber using a high-temperature mill or oven. 1.2 These methods apply to the determination of the volatile matter content in the “R” group of rubber listed in KS M ISO 1629. can do. The “R” group of rubber refers to rubbers with unsaturated carbon chains (e.g. raw rubber and synthetic rubbers derived at least partially from diolefins). These methods can also be applied to other raw rubbers, but in this case it is necessary to prove that the mass change is only caused by loss of actual volatile content and not by rubber deterioration. 1.3 The hot mill method is suitable for synthetic rubber or powders that are too difficult to handle in a hot mill. It does not apply to synthetic rubber and raw rubber in the form of chips or chips. 1.4 This test method does not necessarily provide the same results. Therefore, in case of dispute, Procedure A of the oven method is the reference method.?
