Scope

This standard covers non-contact optical measurements of the average, minimum, and maximum diameters and ovality (or roundness) of rod-shaped objects with a circular or elliptical cross-section with an apparently convex curve. Specifies the method. In particular, this method is applicable to cigarettes and filter rods.
