KS B ISO 9459-5:2013 Solar heating — Domestic water heating systems — Part 5: System performance characterization by means of whole-system tests and computer simulation
This standard in the KS B ISO 9459 series specifies laboratory and outdoor test methods for solar domestic hot-water (SDHW). The test method can be applied to field tests and also to indoor tests if the drainage plan and solar radiation conditions required for indoor measurements are specified. System performance characteristics are evaluated by whole-system testing using a 'black-box' approach, i.e. no measurements are required on system components or system internals. Specific test methods are presented in the sections related to measurement procedures, processing and analysis of measurement data, and submission of test reports. When evaluating the characteristics of residential solar hot water (SDHW) during instantaneous operation, the theoretical model described in reference [1] is used. do. The parameters involved in the theoretical model are identified with a parameter-identification software program (see Annex A). As a result of the program implementation, a set of parameters can be obtained, which allows the optimal fit between the theoretical model and actual measurement data. To accurately determine the system parameters, a wide range of operating conditions must be analyzed. Measured data are preprocessed before being used to identify system parameters.
