This standard describes the concept and principles of information and communication technology (ICT) readiness for business continuity, and covers all aspects (performance criteria, design, implementation, etc.) that improve an organization's ICT readiness to ensure business continuity. Presents basic methods and procedures for identifying and defining. This standard develops an ICT Readiness for Business Continuity (IRBC) program and addresses urgent events and incidents that may impact the continuity (including security) of critical business functions and the ICT that will support business operations in the event of related disruptions. Applies to all organizations (private, government, non-government organizations regardless of size) that need to prepare services/infrastructure. Additionally, this standard enables organizations to measure IRBC-related performance parameters in a consistent and recognized manner.
