- This standard specifies the scandium (Sc), yttrium (Y), lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu), Sixteen elements including gadolinium (Gd), terbium (Tb), dysprosium (Dy), holmium (Ho), bait (Er), thulium (Tm), ytterbium (Yb), lutetium (Lu) (hereinafter referred to as the 16 elements ) content is determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of 16 rare earth elements in botanical Chinese medicinal materials such as ginseng, perilla leaves, honeysuckle, wolfberry, ephedra, and cork.
