- This standard specifies a general method for determining the free water or crystal water content of samples in textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries using the Karl Fischer volumetric method. This standard is applicable to the determination of free water or crystal water content in most organic and inorganic homogeneous and liquid products of textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries. It is not applicable to the determination of strongly reducing substances and substances containing ketones, aldehydes and methanol-insoluble substances. .
