Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for polyester staple fiber products for colored sewing threads. This standard applies to glossy and semi-matt polyester staple fibers for colored sewing threads with a nominal linear density of 1.2 dtex to 1.4 dtex, circular cross-section, and produced by pre-spun coloring technology. Other types of polyester staple fibers for colored sewing threads can be used as a reference.
