- This standard specifies the technical requirements for dent detection and evaluation of in-service steel oil and gas pipelines. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of dents in onshore carbon steel and low alloy steel oil and gas pipelines. The dent evaluation of submarine oil and gas pipelines can be performed with reference to this standard.
